In a time marked by deep fractures and fragile social bonds, Diluvio explores shipwreck as a condition of the present, traversing what remains of the world’s ruins and inviting us to collectively rethink the way we live.
The creation is inspired by the novel "Lord of the Flies" by William Golding and stages a free and critical re-interpretation of it by translating the original narrative, place and time.
The memories, nightmares, and hallucinations recounted in the novel find new narrative strength through a process of scenic deconstruction and rewriting that combines voice, movement, and sound. The young castaways’ desire for salvation - manifested in their expectation of rescue and in their attempts to known forms of coexistence - evaporates, leaving space for a new perception of the shipwreck: no longer an end but a gateway to imagining the future, a leap towards new ways of gathering together and towards the creation of spaces of belonging in which to discover new forms of connection.
In Diluvio dance and music release their lysergic and cathartic power, becoming a territory for the liberation of bodies and an experience of personal and collective transformation. Crossing sonorities, imagery, trends and aesthetics of techno, trance and alternative rock countercultures, the scene becomes a fluid, immersive space, thinning the distance between performer and audience and dissolving the boundaries of the show, until it transforms into a disco at the twilight of the world. A beating and rhythmic rain of lights, sounds, bodies, voices and sweat: a sensorial vortex in which to dive and participate in a ritual of collective party.

Nicola Galli is involved in physical research and is a choreographer, dancer, lighting and costume designer. His research takes the form of actions and devices ranging from choreography to performance, from installation to graphic and visual design. His work embraces a cross-disciplinary scenic horizon, in which the body becomes the radiating centre of an artistic discourse that takes the form of a scenic sensibility devoted to the exploration of movement as a hybrid panorama of knowledge. Since 2010, she has been developing a personal choreographic investigation focused on the profound relationship between man and nature and on the analysis of the notions of “stratification” and “landscape”. Since 2014, he has been an artist supported by the production company TIR Danza. In 2018, he won the “Premio Equilibrio” - Fondazione Musica per Roma and the “Danza & Danza” award for best emerging choreographer. In 2019, he won the national “Sfera d'Oro per la danza” award.
