Loredana Parrella is one of the most original and incisive voices in Italian contemporary dance. A choreographer, director and artistic director, she began her long career in the 1980s as a performer at the Ballet Royal de Wallonie (Belgium), Teatro alla Scala in Milan, Teatro Comunale in Florence and Teatro Regio in Turin, among others. She has been directed by directors and choreographers Jorge Lefebre, Micha Van Hoeche, Luca Ronconi and A. Konchalovsky, among others. From the 1990s to the present day, as a choreographer and director, she has worked in major theatres such as the Teatro Comunale in Modena, the Teatro San Carlo in Naples and the Mozart Festival in La Coruña (Spain), among others. Since 2006, she has been Artistic Director of Twain_Centro di Produzione Danza Regionale and Co-Director of Periferie Artistiche_Centro di Residenza Nazionale del Lazio. To date, she has created over 30 productions for Twain, distributed throughout Italy and France, the United States, Spain, Montenegro, Cyprus, England, Switzerland, Germany, Bulgaria, and Serbia, among others.
