Songs and Silences Songs and Silences is the latest work of choreographer and musician Amos Ben-Tal and his collective OFFprojects. The performance consists in a series of brief works. Silent dance solos alternate with Ben-Tal’s hypnotic songs (sung live), creating a hypnotizing mosaic of motion, sound, and words. The performers move among the audience, creating an intimate and emotional experience.

Amos Ben-Tal

is a choreographer, musician, and founder of the collective OFFprojects. He trained at the National Ballet School of Toronto, Canada. He has danced in Holland with the Nederland Dans Theater for nine years. In 2006 he started creating his own works, making various successful shows under the guide of Korzo Productions. In 2012 he founded OFFprojects with whom he has created many highly appreciated interdisciplinary works, like OFFline, MIGHT, 60 and Howl (winner of the Dioraphte Dance Prize). Interval (2021) is a collaboration with the artist Gosse de Kort. Exploring the relationship between dance and architecture, it was nominated for the Dutch Swan award. The latest production Songs and Silences (2023) is an intimate and immersive opera which uses Amos’ dearest forms of expression: choreography, music, and words. OFFprojects is supported by the Performing Arts fund NL and by the city of The Hague. The company perform all over the Netherlands and abroad.
