Biagio Caravano

is a musician, dancer and teacher in dance theater at the Civica Scuola di Teatro Paolo Grassi in Milan and the Proxima Res school in Milan. He is among the founders of the mk group, a collective that has been present for years on the national and international contemporary dance, choreography and performance scene. In May 2014 Biagio Caravano is the interpreter of the performance Giuda, a project commissioned by Antonio Latella and reproposed in Berlin at the ICI/Institute for Cultural Inquiry in the study cycle “Anatopies for a Critique of Spatial Reason”. With the musician Daniela Cattivelli he created the duo Sigourney Weaver with whom he carries on a sound research related to the posture of the stage body. For mk he conceived the format Bangalore, in which he is the protagonist together with artists (performers, dancers, musicians, actors and visual artists) from time to time different. For mk he is the author of the music, played live, for the show Sfera and the performance Piscina Mirabilis. He is currently involved with the concert Human, with visual artist Lorenzo Basili. Giuda, progetto commissionato da Antonio Latella e riproposto a Berlino all’ICI/Institute for Cultural Inquiry nel ciclo di studi “Anatopies for a Critique of Spatial Reason”. Con la musicista Daniela Cattivelli ha creato il duo Sigourney Weaver con il quale porta avanti una ricerca sonora legata alla postura del corpo scenico. Per mk ha ideato il format Bangalore, di cui è protagonista insieme ad artisti di volta in volta differenti. Per mk è autore delle musiche, suonate dal vivo, per lo spettacolo Sfera e la performance Piscina Mirabilis. Attualmente è impegnato con il concerto Human, con l’artista visivo Lorenzo Basili.
