Veduta > Roma is a modular format, with a variable cast and duration, dedicated to the city and the prospective vision of the urban scenery. The public receives the performance with headphones, looking out from a panoramic place in the city which for the Fuori Programma Festival is Castel Sant’Angelo. Near and distant places are connected one to the other by the sound track (recorded in holophony with a strong cinematic imprint) and by the dislocation of the performers. Veduta >Roma is a theorem of the landscape, constructed with a strong cinematic imprint so as to travel, through the city and redesign its prospective, transforming reality to a place with imaginary co-ordinates.

The urban sights are transformed by the sound to a place that floats between the present and the possible. The spectator is immersed in a landscape that is no longer simply what appears before him/her but, - like in a sacred allegory- a concentration of coincidences and compositions that seem to refer to something else. Reality is sometimes clouded by, at other times clearly focused by the sound which presides the magnificent/imaginary power of the vision and makes possible the multiplication of details in a place with imaginary co-ordinates. Strange conspiracies and mysterious activities redesign the here and now to reread urbanity through postures and signs of an other world being enquired into through cut and dry dances that can be near or extremely distant, on the horizon. Inside or outside. Dance becomes literally a point of view on the world which describes and affirms the individual in the community whereas at the same time suggesting an escape.
